From 1972 to 1977, there was a
Pakistan People's Party government in Pakistan. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was the President of Pakistan and later the Prime Minister. During this period the Constitution of Pakistan was enacted and enforced with the consent of all political parties of Pakistan. During this period the socialist and pan-Islamic factor increased. During this period, industries and enterprises in Pakistan were nationalized. Tensions between the ruling party and the opposition increased at the end of that period, and as a result, martial law again took place in 1977.

The next period was from 1977 to 1988 martial law. Zia-ul-Haq was the ruler of Pakistan during this period. Pakistan received immense support from the war in Afghanistan. In the same period, there were non-party elections of 1985 and the Junejo government was ousted by Zia-ul-Haq in 1988. Democracy has started again in Pakistan.
Thereafter, elections were held in 1988 and PPP and its allies came to power under Benazir Bhutto.
Shortly afterwards, President Ghulam Ishaq Khan sacked the government.
In 1990, the IJI and its allies came to power under Nawaz Sharif.
In 1993, this government was also sacked.
After that, the new president of Pakistan, Farooq Leghari. The next elections were held in 1993 and again the PPP and its allies came to power. At the behest of President Farooq Ahmad Laghari,
this government was also defeated. After the elections in 1997, again the PML-N and its allies came to power under Nawaz Sharif.
Tensions increased in the political and military circles in the last days of this government and resulted in the re-emergence of the military government in 1999. President Pervez Musharraf became Prime Minister
and after the 2001 elections, Prime Minister Zafarullah Khan Jamali became.
In 2004, General Musharraf decided to make Shaukat Aziz the prime minister.
For a short time, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussein served the Prime Minister's office and Shaukat Aziz was elected as the Member of the National Assembly.
Shaukat Aziz resigned on November 15, 2007 after the term of the National Assembly ended. On November 16, 2007, Chairman of the Senate Mr. Mian Muhammad Soomro took oath as interim Prime Minister.
Following the election in February 2008, the PPPP nominated Mr. Yousuf Raza Gilani as Prime Minister, who secured a vote of confidence with the support of the PML-N.
After the disqualification of Yousuf Raza Gilani on June 22, 2012, Raja Pervez Ashraf became the new Prime Minister.
In May 2013, there were public outcry in which the PML-N emerged as a major party. Thus Nawaz Sharif was elected Prime Minister of Pakistan for the third time.
On July 28, 2017, the Supreme Court overturned another Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, disqualifying him in the Panamalax decision and thus Shahid Khaqan Abbasi of Pakistan Muslim League-N became the new Prime Minister. Imran Khan became the Prime Minister. These are all pakistani rulers.
